Maplewood Nursing Home

Licensed Nursing Assistant - Full Time/Various Shifts

Under the supervision of the LPN Charge Nurse or Staff Nurse, provides basic resident care and assists in the maintenance of the unit environment.

Follows facility policies and procedures and the standards of the Nurse Practice Act of New Hampshire.

Duties require knowledge of nursing assistance equivalent to completion of a high school diploma plus additional courses and up to one year of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Must be registered as a Licensed Nurse Assistant by the State of New Hampshire.



 Staff RN/LPN - Various Shifts

Under the direction of the Nurse Manager or RN Supervisor, responsible for performing clinical and administrative duties on assigned floor.

Supports the Nurse Manager or RN Supervisor in maintaining standards of resident care and maintaining policies and protocols to meet OBRA regulations for long term care.

Duties require knowledge of nursing equivalent to completion of an applicable Nursing Program.

Must be licensed by the State of New Hampshire Board of Nursing.
Must be thoroughly oriented to all facility policies and agree to comply with all facility policies.
Must attend mandatory in-services and retain registration with the State of New Hampshire.
 


Ward Aide

·       Under the supervision of the Staff Nurse, responsible for assisting residents and staff with non-direct resident care activities. 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

·        Prepares dining room for meals.
· 
      Ensures adaptive equipment is available for residents.
·       
Serves meal trays, assists with tray preparation, removes trays after meals.
·       
Completes Appetite Records.
·       
Clears dining room after meals.
·       
Reports appetites less than 25% to nursing staff.
·       
Returns food carts to kitchen area.

MNA

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the charge nurse, assists with routine prescribed medication administration and documentation in accordance with established nursing standards, and the policies, procedures, and practices of this facility.  Administers PRN medications upon the instruction of the delegating licensed nurse. 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

·        Receive report at the beginning of shift with nurses. 
·       
Prepare, administer and chart oral, topical, suppository, nasal, ocular, and otc medications, as prescribed by the physician, and as directed by the delegating licensed nurse through shift assignment and Medication Administration Record (MAR).
·       
Document administration on the MAR.
·       
Administer PRN medications as prescribed by the physician, only as directed by the delegating licensed nurse. Delegating licensed nurse must be available to monitor the effects on the resident.  Documents same on MAR. 

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/TRAINING REQUIRED:

·        Duties require knowledge of nursing assistance equivalent to completion of a high school diploma plus additional courses and up to one year of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
·       
Must be registered as a Licensed Nurse Assistant by the State of New Hampshire.
·       
Must have successfully completed a state approved Medication Nursing Assistant Program.

LNA 

Shift Hours:     (3) 7:00am-3:00pm, 24 hrs/wk Weekend Baylors

(1)   3:00pm-11:00pm, 40 hrs/wk, every other weekend

2 positions: 3:00pm-11:00pm 40 hrs/wk, every other weekend 

GENERAL SUMMARY:

·        Under the direction of the Nurse Manager or RN Supervisor, responsible for performing clinical and administrative duties on assigned floor.

Supports the Nurse Manager or RN Supervisor in maintaining standards of resident care and maintaining policies and protocols to meet OBRA regulations for long term care.
 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

·        Accepts and gives shift report.
·       
Communicates unit problems and needs to the Nurse Manager, RN Supervisor or LPN Charge Nurse.
·       
Make rounds to evaluate the status of residents and determine resource needs.
·       
Performs resident assessments. 

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/TRAINING REQUIRED:

·        Must be licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse by the State of New Hampshire.
·       
Must be thoroughly oriented to all facility policies and agree to comply with all facility policies.

·        Must attend mandatory in-services and retain registration with the State of New Hampshire.

The Cheshire County Sheriff’s Office

are looking for

 Police Communications Specialists

Candidates should be available for shifts on days, nights and weekends.  On call personnel train for eventual part time/ full time employment as positions open. Requires operating complex communications system and the ability to communicate professionally and effectively with the public.  Excellent multi-tasking, typing, and listening skills are required.  Must be able to demonstrate tact and calmness in stressful situations. High School graduate with associate degree or equivalent experience with some police and/or public safety/emergency dispatching preferred. Candidates must pass a battery of tests to be considered.  Successful candidate must pass be able to pass a thorough background check and polygraph examination.
