Superior Court is funded and operated by the unified court system through the State of New Hampshire.  Superior Court is not part of Cheshire County Government; it simply resides in a County building. 

The Superior Court sits at both law and equity and has original and exclusive jurisdiction over felony offenses, and civil actions of over $5,000. It has concurrent original jurisdiction with the District Court over misdemeanor offenses, domestic violence violations, and civil actions with amounts of $1,500 to $5,000, and has exclusive jurisdiction over divorce, separation and annulments. Information sessions for persons choosing to represent themselves are held the second and fourth Thursdays of each month.
