Request for Qualifications – Build Out and Restoration of 3000 Sq. Ft. Building

REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS (RFQ) 

The County of Cheshire, New Hampshire, is seeking proposals for construction services relating to the immediate renovation of a 3,000 square foot garage-type structure in Keene, New Hampshire, relative to an imminent County Project. “Time is of the Essence.”

Statements of Qualifications will be accepted for general construction services to create approximately 1,000 sq. ft. of office space and renovate approximately 2,000 sq. ft. of open area, and install related water, sewer, electrical, communications, life safety, and other required elements. All submissions will be required to meet all pertinent local and state codes for renovations related to the intended use by the County.

Minimum requirements include previous experience in general contracting and some design work consistent with local regulations.  Other elements of consideration include; the submitter’s reputation, expertise, and experience, financial stability, prior positive experience with the County, and satisfactory reference checks regarding reliability and timeliness.  Essential to consideration is an ability to begin work immediately with all necessary design, trades, and permits with maximum guaranteed prices.

A site visit is required and will be scheduled within five calendar days following the posting of this RFQ.  Interested parties must contact the County Administrator to register for the mandatory site visit.  Contact the County Administrator at ccoates@co.cheshire.nh.us  or by calling 603-355-3031. 

  • Qualification submissions must be submitted within five business days of the mandatory site visit.
  • Qualifications must be received at the County Administrator’s Office, 12 Court Street, Keene, New Hampshire, 03431, within five business days of the mandatory site visit. 

The County reserves the right to reject any submitted qualifications not meeting this Request for Qualifications requirements.  This is a short timeline due to “time being of the essence” for this emergency-level project. The chosen contractor must demonstrate its ability to respond immediately to accomplish this project within the next 60 days.
