0 to 5 years of service = 2 weeks per year *
5 to 10 years of service = 3 weeks per year
10 – 14 years of service = 4 weeks per year

Shift Differential Pay
For employees working 30 or more hours, County pays 82-84%, employee pays 16-18% ***
Employee – $67.41 twice monthly = $134.82 monthly
Employee/Child(ren) – $137.97 twice monthly = $275.94 monthly
Employee/Spouse – $183.92 twice monthly = $367.84 monthly
Family – $212.48 twice monthly = $424.96 monthly
For employees working 30 or more hours, County pays a portion, employee pays a portion ***
Employee – $5.83 twice monthly = $11.66 monthly
Employee/Child(ren) – $21.25 twice monthly = $42.50 monthly
Employee/Spouse – $19.58 twice monthly = $39.16 monthly
Family – $34.13 twice monthly = $68.26 monthly
Complementary Medicine Benefit
Employees enrolled in County Health plan, eligible for up to $350.00 per calender year after a $20.00 co-payment per visit.
Jury Duty – County pays the difference in wages
Life Insurance – For employees working 30 or more hours, $5,000 free for employee,
with employee option to purchase additional amount **
Meals – Cheshire County provides meals free of charge to all employees in Westmoreland and at the Department of Corrections
Military Leave of Absence – County pays the difference in wages less 5% if activated (maximum of 5 years)
Perfect Attendance Bonus – Quarterly incentives for perfect attendance *
Short Term Disability – For employees working 30 or more hours, no cost to employee,
with employee option to purchase long term disability **
Employees working 35 or more hours must participate:
Employees 7% pre-tax contribution, 10 year retirement
Correctional Officers, Sheriff Deputies. 11.55% pre-tax contribution, 20 year retirement
Service time will be carried over from any NH state wide agency participating in the program.
Tuition Reimbursement – Up to $2,700 per year for courses meeting selected criteria
Deferred Compensation – All full time employees may put money into this type of retirement program pre-tax.
Direct Deposit – Employees may opt to have their paycheck deposited into a bank or banks of their choice.
Automobile/Home-Owners/Renters Insurance – Employees may opt to have payroll deduction.
AFLAC – supplemental insurance paid for by employee **
Vaccinations – At no cost to employees, TB and flu shots are available. Hepatitis B vaccine will be offered free of charge to all at risk employees.
Employee Assistance Program – available to all employees and household members free of charge.
